WE BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF NONPROFITS

NONPROFIT CAPACITY BUILDING INSTITUTE

The Florida Housing Coalition’s Nonprofit Capacity Building Institute is designed to strengthen the capacity of existing affordable housing mission-based nonprofits.

As part of its initial work, the Institute has created a free online course for nonprofits titled: Building Capacity to Build: Best Practices for Nonprofit Housing Developers. In addition, this summer it will hold a Lunch & Learn 2021 Spring/Summer training series; and in the Fall it will present an 8-week Interactive and Intensive Training Series on the Affordable Housing Development process where participants will apply direct knowledge gained on their own projects over the course of the series.

ASK ABOUT OUR BUILDING CAPACITY TO BUILD COURSE

Designed to take nonprofits step by step through the process of developing the capacity they need to start an affordable housing project, our recently revised course is a self-paced training module that guides a nonprofit through a thorough assessment of its internal structure and operations. In addition, each module includes training material, activities for staff and Board to complete together, and a self-evaluation on best practices related to the topic of that chapter. For more information, contact Juanita Jones at jones@flhousing.org

Thanks to our course development partner, Fifth Third Bank.

“This course is excellent!  Great learning here for our nonprofit partners.  The Florida Housing Coalition does it again!”
