Cap Repeal Bill Clears Last House Committee, April 7

HB 655 by Representative Aubuchon passed unanimously out of its last committee-- Economic Development and Community Affairs Policy Council. This omnibus housing legislation includes repeal of the cap on the state and local housing trust funds. The next stop for the bill will be consideration by the full House.

SB 262 by Senator Bennett unanimously passed the Senate Finance and Tax Committee yesterday. This bill is the companion bill to HB 655, and also includes repeal of the cap. This bill is expected to move towards consideration by the full Senate in a timely manner.
