The Florida Housing Coalition is thrilled to have been chosen as a state partner for the National Low Income Housing Coalition’s Ending Rental Arrears to Stop Evictions (ERASE) project. The Coalition is using this grant opportunity to provide technical assistance to local governments to accelerate the equitable use of emergency rental assistance funds. The Coalition will provide best practices as identified by our staff’s professional expertise and guidance from the National Low Income Housing Coalition.
ERASE Sets Local Governments Up for SUCCESS
TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
The Coalition provides free training and technical assistance on deploying Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) funds.
The Coalition connects community groups with local government housing staff on equitable administration of resources.
The Coalition advocates for strategies that accelerate emergency rental assistance funding to people in need.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCEPROVIDED FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENTS
- NIndividualized technical assistance to facilitate course correction and systems change
- NAssistance can range from fielding one question at a time to a full, independent audit to accelerate ERAP funds
- NSpecial attention to local governments that have spent less than 10% of their ERAP allocation
The Florida Housing Coalition staff will collect monthly data from local governments on the status of their ERAP programs through surveys, polls, and direct outreach.
