George RomagnoliGeorge Romagnoli
 is the past Community Development Director of the Pasco County Community Development Department. Before that, he served as Assistant Community Development Manager, Housing Coordinator, and Community Development Specialist for Pasco County. As Director, his department administers the NSP, CDBG, HOME, ESG, and SHIP programs, as well as the Housing Finance Authority. His department manages comprehensive neighborhood redevelopment programs, and successfully received a $13 million Section 108 loan from HUD, which, combined with $10 million in other funding is redeveloping Tommytown, the county’s poorest neighborhood. Funding from that program is also funding the renovation of the Trilby and Lacoochee neighborhoods were a successful public-private partnership is working to improve that neighborhood. The county’s housing programs has assisted over 5000 families for homeownership, rehabilitation, foreclosure prevention, rental development, and other programs. Pasco County is now administering one of the largest NSP Programs in the country, and, with its successful non-profit agency partnership, is being used as a model program. Pasco County was also successful as part of a consortium that received NSP 2 funds, for a total of over $55 million. Romagnoli received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Stetson University. He went on to receive a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from Florida State University. He is active with the Boy Scouts, serving as a serving as Alumni Chairman of the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council. Romagnoli is also the former Chair of the West Central Florida SHIP Steering Committee and is on the Executive Board of the Pasco County United Way and the Pasco Homeless Coalition. He received the Outstanding Public Servant Award from the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce and the Outstanding Government Service Awards from the West Pasco Board of Realtors.
